In anticipation of the next World Cup Indoor Hockey, which will take place in Liège next February, the Royal Belgian Hockey Association is pleased to announce the appointment of a completely new technical staff for the Indoor Red Lions, the national indoor men’s team.

The KBHB and Alexandre de Chaffoy, the current national coach, had decided some time ago, by mutual agreement, to split up.

Immediately afterwards, the Federation started looking for a new T1, which it eventually found, after a thorough selection procedure, in the person of Maxime Bergez, Alex de Chaffoy’s current assistant.

Max Bergez has long been involved in the Belgian indoor project, of which he started as a T3 and video analyst for the Indoor Red Lions in 2015.

He soon took over the role of T2, then as an assistant to Alex de Chaffoy, who took the helm of the team in 2016.

As of today, Max will take the reins of the team and will be assisted by Lisa Letchford, who is also the head coach of the U18 outdoor girls.
