Junior midfielder Morgan Rigual of the Delaware field hockey team was tabbed CAA Co-Player of the Week by the conference office Tuesday.
Rigual helped Delaware to a 2-0 week in CAA play as the Blue Hens defeated Hofstra and Northeastern in a pair of one-goal games.
The Fredericksburg, Va., native scored a career-high two goals against Hofstra to lead Delaware with four points in a 3-2 victory for the Blue Hens. She tallied her first goal of the season in the second quarter and scored again in the third, which proved to be the difference in the match.
This marks Rigual’s second weekly honor as she earned CAA Rookie of the Week back in 2019. She currently has five points this season on two goals and one assist.
Delaware returns to action Friday when they host James Madison for a conference match-up at 5 p.m.
