After extensive consultations between the DHB, the FIH and the Belgian Association as well as the responsible Mönchengladbach authorities, the decision was made that on Thursday March 19, the FIH Pro League games of the DHB men ( 4 p.m.) and ladies (6.30 p.m.) against Belgium will take place behind closed doors, i.e without spectators.
This decision was made taking into account the current instructions of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia on the Covid 19 situation.
“We are happy that with this solution we are able to avoid a complete cancellation of these games,” said DHB General Secretary Heiko von Glahn.
“We are sorry for the hockey fans that they cannot be there in the stadium. Fortunately, the matches are broadcast live. ”
Anyone who has pre-purchased tickets for these two games will be refunded the ticket price or offered compensation.
Von Glahn asked for patience in this regard: “Nobody will remain seated on tickets that they cannot use due to the Corona crisis. But the processing will take a while. “
