Heavy rain in Gniezno creates difficult conditions for the match between Austria and Poland. There are two teams facing each other who know each other very well. As the coach of SV Arminen, Dariusz Rachwalski, head coach at Poland, is familiar with all the strengths and weaknesses of the local players.

So you can see a very even game in the first half with chances on both sides. For the most part, however, the game between the two quarter lines runs with good approaches on both sides, but generally the big final pass is missing.

In the third quarter Austria has a lot more possession of the ball and employs the Poles well. But even in this quarter, the compelling scoring chances are missing. Austria is only awarded a penalty corner, which can be blocked by a Polish player on the line. These quarters are also goalless.

Austria also clearly dominates the last quarter and has a lot of possession. Everything is correct, only the decisive breakthrough or pass does not want to succeed. Thörnblom had a huge chance for Austria in the 53rd minute, but the Polish goalkeeper stood out and held the shot and margin brilliantly.

Two minutes separate the players from a shoot-out – time runs down without any risk of goal and the game ends 0-0.

The drama of the shoot-out:

Austria begins – Unterkircher meets. POL meets. Thörnblom meets. POL 7m – pole holds. Uher forgives. POL 7m – gate. Losonci forgives. POL awards. Happy, casual & meets. POL – Szymczyk clarifies. AUSTRIA IN THE FINALS!

Scotland awaits in the final, defeating Ireland 3-2 in the second semifinals. Ireland are already leading the game by 2 goals, but Scotland, thanks to Forsyth, scores 3 goals in a row and thus also advance to the final.

The final will take place tomorrow, August 21, at 4:00 p.m.
