When Canada’s men step on the field for the first time at the World League Semi-Final in London on Friday, Goalkeeper David Carter will be doing so for the 145th time. #HWL2017
The Canadian Goalkeeper,has represented Canada at the 2009 Pan American Cup, 2010 World Cup, 2010 Commonwealth Games, and 2011 Pan American Games alongside various other international competitions.- voted the 2015 Field Hockey Canada Player of the Year – will reach the 145-cap milestone.
He will be joined by 17 other players who competed in World League Round 2 in Trinidad and Tobago, where Canada finished second this April. He will be also joined by Floris van Son, who was injured during World League Round 2, and has been playing his club hockey in the Netherlands.

The Canadian team also features 12 players who represented Canada the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, including captain Scott Tupper, veteran midfielder Mark Pearson
Canada – currently ranked 11th in the world – enters the tournament as the 7th ranked team and is grouped in Pool B with the Netherlands (4), India (6), Pakistan (13), and Scotland (23).
Canada’s men kick off the 2017 World League Semi-Final in London, England on Friday, June 16th at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET with a game against 13th ranked Pakistan. #HWL2017
