With these two goals, the Lions return to training this Monday the 10th at the National Center for High Performance Sports. The staff led by Mariano Ronconi will meet again with their players after the stop for the Holidays and immediately there will be intense work because the trip to Santiago is scheduled for the 16th where Argentina will play the Pan American Cup from January 19 to 30, a tournament that will deliver two Tickets to the 2023 World Cup in India.

The next event will be the FIH Pro League, a tournament in which the national team will debut against Belgium on February 12 and 13 and against England on February 19 and 20 in Buenos Aires. Then come the trip to India in March, visits from Canada and South Africa and in May the Lions will set foot in Europe for the first time this year to continue in the FIH Pro League against Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.

After recovering from the coronavirus that was infected at the beginning of the year, Ronconi took just a handful of days on the Buenos Aires coast to start the intense year with all the batteries.

“We had six days of training last year and after the break for the Holidays we are ready to resume contact with the group, with great expectations and enthusiasm. We have to go step by step and our sights will be set at the beginning on the Pan American Cup because It is qualifying for the World Cup and Argentina will have to go to India to fight well up, “said the coach.
