The Belgium men’s hockey team clean sweeped Spain (5-0) in their opening match of the EuroHockey Championship 2019 in Belgium.

It was the Belgians who quickly took early possession of the game. It did not take more than 2 minutes for Emmanuel Stockbroekx to alert the Spanish porter for the first time.

Alexander Hendrickx scored a brace, while Victor Wegnez, Tom Boon and Antoine Kina to added a goal each to Belgium’s kitty.

The next match for the Red Lions is this Sunday, August 18, 2019 against England at 18:00 hours.
