The Netherlands women’s hockey team defeated Germany (2-0) to clinch the gold at the Euro Hockey Championship 2019.

Eva de Goede and Kelly Jonker scored for Netherlands.

In the league stage, the Netherlands team registered two draws against Belgium and Spain.

They beat Russia by 14-0 in their final pool game and then hammered England 8-0 in the semi-finals – the biggest semi-final loss in the competition’s history.

By virtue of this win, Netherlands have booked their places to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
