FIH Academy’s Level 1 Hockey Coaching course is a great place to start.

The FIH Academy has introduced three new FIH L1 Coaching courses! The courses will run on 1, 3 & 6 Sep between 13:00 to 15:00 hours CEST.

Developed in partnership with the Coach Logic and NottsSports, the FIH Level 1 Award in Coaching Hockey is the first qualification on the hockey coaching ladder.

The qualification is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the practical and theoretical aspects of hockey.

The foundation level of knowledge recognised in this qualification will enable them to develop an understanding of the safe, ethical and effective management and coaching of hockey.

Who is the Qualification for?

Anyone over 15 years of age, who is looking for an introduction to coaching hockey to grass-roots teams.

Even Parents of children playing hockey who would like to become more involved, sports centre staff, teachers, youth workers and volunteers would also find that this qualification supports their involvement in the sport.

Students in further or higher education, studying sports-related coaching qualifications, should pursue this qualification as a valuable addition to their portfolio of coaching skills.
