The Belarus men’s hockey team have arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the FIH Hockey Series Finals on Tuesday, for the April 26 – May 4th mega tournament.

Belarus have been drawn in Pool A –  alongside Canada, Wales and Austria.

Coach Sergej Drozdov who represented Belarus at the 1994 World Cup in Sydney, and who is also very active in the Euro Hockey front, is not only the Head Coach of the Belarus Men’s National Team but is also the Head Coach of Hockey Club Minsk.

Sergej’s squad will be led by Tsimur Tsimashkou. The squad will see many fresh faces with lot of players making their debuts. The squad looks relatively inexperienced.

The Belarus Team are the second lowest ranked team ( WR 31) in the tournament ahead of Italy and will relish rubbing shoulders with the best teams and being part of this fantastic hockey tournament.

They have arrived raring to keep the Olympic dream going for as long as possible and look forward to playing their part in making this the best experience ever.

They will kick off their campaign against Austria at the Bukit Jalil Hockey Stadium on April 26.
