The Canadian Men’s Hockey team have arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the upcoming FIH Hockey Series Finals 2019 to be held at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium in the city.
The teams reached KLIA airport early this morning and were escorted to their team hotel by MHC officials.
The FIH Hockey Series Finals 2019 will set the stage from April 26th May 4th 2019 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. A total of eight nations will participate in the tournament.
Canada are grouped in Pool A along with Austria, Wales and Belarus. They will take on Wales in their opening match which is scheduled to take place on the 26th of April 2019 at 4:00 pm Malaysian time.
The squad sees the return of their experienced Skipper Scott Tupper, who was out of action at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2019 due to injury.
The top two teams from each FIH Series Finals will secure a place in the Qualification Events for the next Olympic Games which will be held in October and November 2019.
