Field Hockey Canada’s Skipper and one of the most experienced player, Scott Tupper is back in the squad and will yet again spearhead their efforts this week in Kuala Lumpur when they contest for the FIH Hockey Series Finals 2019.

Tupper, a veteran of 290 caps, was missing from the squad at their previous tournament in Ipoh, Malaysia in March (Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2019), but is set and ready for the FIH Hockey Series Finals Campaign.

One of the most innovative and successful captains in the world, Scott has always been an integral part of the leadership team within Canada and continues to be a key player.

The team is confident he can lead Canada to success and can help the team earn a spot in the Olympic Qualifier through this tournament.

Double Centurion – Mark Pearsons (258 tournaments) along with Iain Smythe (185) and Adam Froese (173) will provide the team with a backbone of experience in Malaysia.

The team also has the services of Keegan Pereira (157caps) and Sukhi Panesar (127 caps) who have arrived at the tournament straight from their Euro Hockey League 2019 tour.

Canada will face Wales, Austria and Belarus in Pool A at the tournament.

The team has already arrived in Malaysia and are hosted at the Palace of Golden Horses Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Action begins on 26th April 2019, at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, where Canada first takes on Wales at 16:00 Hours Malaysian time.
