As Great Britain takes on Germany in today’s FIH Pro league match at the Lee Valley Hockey Stadium in London, this will be special for the Great Britain teams skipper, Adam Dixon, as he will achieve the milestone of completing 250 international caps.
The stalwart Captain hails from Nottingham and is considered as one of the most experienced players in the world.
Dixon debuted in 2009 at the Champions Trophy in Australia and is the most experienced player having played three world cups and one Olympic game.
The 32-year-old won gold in the 2009 European Championships, and has also won Commonwealth Games medals on two occasions.
He has also played club hockey in the Netherlands, and won the India Hockey League with Kalinga Lancers.
