Great Britain’s men hockey team defeated the New Zealand men to reach the Grand Final of the first ever FIH Pro League at the iconic Twickenham Stoop stadium in London on Sunday.
Great Britain rode on goals through Chris Griffiths & Alan Forsyth and finished in the top four of the league.
Speaking about his teams performance in a post match interview with the FIH, Great Britain captain Adam Dixon said he was delighted with the win.
“It feels like the last six months has all been worth it, to be honest.” said Adam.
“It’s been a long hard road, but to qualify for the Finals, knowing that we have got a couple of extra games to play now is a huge incentive. To do it in front of a fantastic crowd like this is even better.” Adam said.
The FIH Pro League will now face Australia on Friday night in their semi final in Amsterdam.
