The Germans, playing their first match in the competition, had multiple shots in the last quarter but either missed the target or found Australian Goalkeeper Rachael Lynch blocking their path.
Xavier said, “Offensively we had more than enough chances, but the team was not calm enough in the end. We should have won the match.”
