The Korean women’s hockey team produced a splendid performance to register a 5-0 win in the opening match of the FIH Series Finals tournament against the Ukraine women’s hockey team at the Banbridge Hockey Club in Ireland.
Kang Jina (3rd min) and Yurim Lee (25th min) in the first half put Korea in a commanding position.
In the second half, Seungju Lee (32nd min) scored through a field goal while Yurim Lee (47th min) and Lee Yuri (48th min) scored each through a penalty corner securing the perfect victory for the Koreans.
World No 26 Ukraine looked dejected as the Korean women proved too strong for them.

The Korean Women’s Hockey team will play their next match of the series against Scotland on 9th June 2019, while Ukraine will take on France.

Action continues today with Scotland taking on France, Ireland taking on Malaysia and the Czech Republican team taking on Singapore.
