India claimed a (3-1) victory over Poland in ‘Match Six’ of the ‘FIH Series Finals Bhubaneswar’ today at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
After a scoreless first quarter, Manpreet scored in the 21st and 26th minutes while drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the 36th minute as India registered its second consecutive win of the tournament.
Mateusz Hulboj (25th) scored the lone goal for Poland.
India will take on Uzbekistan in its last pool match on June 10, while Poland, who defeated the Uzbeks 4-0 in their opener, will face Russia on Sunday.
The top two teams of the ongoing FIH Series Finals will seal their berths in the FIH Olympic Qualifiers to be held in October-November this year.
