In the inaugural match of FIH Hockey Series Finals, the 21st ranked Polish national hockey team defeated 43rd ranked Uzbekistan 4-0 to start their campaign on a positive note.
Just five minutes into the game, Poland earned a Penalty Corner and Pawel Bratkowski made no mistakes in netting a perfect goal.
Poland continued to dominate in the second quarter and in the 27th minutes, Mateusz Hulboz increased Poland’s lead through a well converted PC.
In quarter three, Pawel (36th minutes) yet again scored through a PC. Four minutes later, Mateusz Hulboz scored a fine field goal to ensure a convincing win for the Polish side.
Poland will next play India in their second match here on Friday.
Earlier in the day after a scoreless first three quarters, world no. 25 USA men scored both their goals in the final 15 minutes to surprise the 16th ranked South African team.
