USA Hockey Team
After securing their berth in the Semi-Final match of the FIH Series Finals tournament in Bhubaneswar, the world no.25 USA Men’s Hockey team will face world no.16 South Africa on Friday for a semi-final clash at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Centurions – William Holt (140 caps) and Tyler Sundeen (101 caps) will provide the team with a backbone of experience against South Africa.
The team will also have the services of Mohan Gandhi  (90 caps), Sean Harris (89 caps), Jonathan Orozco (87 caps), Micheal Jr. Barminkski (79 caps) and Paul Singh (72 caps).
Guarding the post will be 22-year old Jonathan Klages.
USA and South Africa previously played against each other in the opening match of the tournament where USA stunned the world no 16. by beating them (2-0).
USA’s most experienced player Pat Harris, who has been in prime form throughout the tournament, believes that the team is looking forward to putting their best step forward in the semi-final match against South Africa.
“We will do everything in our power to put up a good show. It will be a good game,” Pat told The Dragflick via a text chat.
Pat Harris who debuted in 2003 and has 142 caps under his belt, said he is overwhelmed with the hospitality in India.
“India has been great to us. We are very happy to be here. From the support staff to the locals, everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. They have been a big factor as to why we have been doing so well,” Pat said.
The USA Men’s Hockey team has seen a total of thirteen goals so far in the tournament, and will play South Africa on Friday, 14th June 2019 at 17.00hrs IST.
