After a 6th place obtained at the European Championship I in Amsterdam last June, the Blues must go through this Qualifying Tournament to obtain a ticket for the 2023 World Cup in India. First step, beat Poland 26th nation in the world.

And it must be said that the Blues did not tremble. The first quarter is dominated and the Blues become dangerous at the end of the period. First Timothée Clément alone in the opposing circle literally sees a goal stolen by an excellent Polish goalkeeper (13 ‘)

But the young number 28 does not let himself be defeated. Quite the contrary. He is at the end of a Petit Corner only a minute later and allows his team to take the lead (14 ‘).

Like a surface fox, Timothée Clément scored a second goal a minute later. What a brilliant first quarter for the young French player (2-0 15 ‘).

In Q2, Blaise Rogeau imitates “Tim” and scores a deviation in the circle. The Blues are incisive and cover their luck (3-0 17 ‘). At halftime, the Blues lead 3-0 without being worried by the Polish attack which obtains some presences in counter-attacks however sterile.

In the second half, the Blues continue to push and Gaspard Baumgarten scores a 4th French goal and especially a 3rd in Field Goal . (4-0 33 ‘). During the last quarter, it was Max Branicki who recovered an attempt by Blaise Rogeau to score his first goal of the competition. The number 27 allows his team to lead 5-0 with 3 minutes from the end of the match .

The players coached by Frederick Be have successfully completed the first step to qualify for the World Cup. We will now have to beat Austria! Meet on Saturday 1 p.m. (French time) on EuroHockeyTV .
