Germany’s juniors put an exclamation mark in the last preparatory game on their way to the World Cup in India (November 24th to December 5th in Bhubaneswar). Without Benedikt Schwarzhaupt and Mario Schachner used in the German A-team, the protégés of national coach Johannes Schmitz won against Austria’s A-team with a deserved 3: 0. Masi Pfandt (2) and Niclas Schippan each scored with a corner to clear success.

“I am very satisfied. We are strengthened on our way to India,” said Johannes Schmitz after the game. “Especially with the peculiarity of the upcoming World Cup nomination, the boys played a concentrated game right up to the last minute. We only allowed the only Austrian corner in the last quarter It could have turned out more clearly. ”

Already in the second minute the new HTHCer Masi Pfandt made it 1-0 with a corner. Shortly after the start of the second quarter, the ex-Düsseldorfer followed suit. His Harvestehuder club colleague Niclas Schippan even made it 3-0 shortly after half-time, so that with three goals from five corners there was a strong quota at the end. With 7-1 shots on goal, the match was not characterized by many clear chances, but the German team was very efficient against the Austrians – after the 1-1 and 5-2 over the USA.

At the beginning of the week we will announce the WM squad nominated by Schmitz here.
