As part of the new DOSB competitive sports reform, the assistant coach position in the German men’s national team was converted from a fee to a permanent position.
Aditya Pasarakonda has been thus appointed as a first full-time assistant coach in the German Hockey Federation.
Born in Switzerland, he has been accompanying the HONAMAS since 2017 as an assistant coach for Stefan Kermas and is primarily responsible for opponent observation and analysis.
“I’m happy to be given this opportunity,” said the 33-year-old.
DHB sports director Heino Knuf: “We are very happy that we were able to get Adi for this position and are looking forward to the now full-time cooperation. He has been working for us for several years in various functions at the national teams and we have always benefited greatly from the cooperation. ”
Pasarakonda has been a part of the German Hockey Federation since 2012 as honorary coach of team DHB.
He has also supervised the female U16 national team for three years as head coach and worked as an assistant coach under Markus Weise.
In between, he was a base coach at the Olympic base in Mannheim and also looked after the ladies of Mannheimer HC a few years in the first Bundesliga.
“Aditya has a very good technical-tactical eye and is also highly versed in dealing with video equipment. He is an important pillar in the coaching team of the Honamas,” said coach Stefan Kermas.
“In his new full-time job, he will also look into current trends in world hockey and further process them analytically in the DHB system.” Kermas said.
