The Great Britain women’s hockey team have successfully concluded their test matches against the Indian women’s hockey team in Marlow, England.
Great Britain and India played two friendly matches before playing 3 regulated test matches.
In the regulated matches, the Great Britain side drew the first match 0-0 on day one, 3-1 the following day, and a 2-2 draw in the final match, and secured a 1-0 series victory.

Post the series, Great Britain’s goalkeeper Maddie Hinch took to twitter and expressed her satisfaction over playing against the Indian women’s hockey team and also thanked Hockey India.

The Great Britain women’s team are 2016 Olympic champions, so there’s a lot the Indian team learnt from playing against them ahead of the Olympic Qualifiers.
Finishing the Test series with two draws and a victory, the Great Britain and Indian women now have just under a month left to ready themselves to face Chile and USA at the Olympic Qualifiers to seal a place at Tokyo 2020.
