The Indian women’s hockey team have successfully concluded their test matches against the Great Britain women’s hockey team in Marlow, England.
The Indian women’s hockey team and the Great Britain women’s hockey team, played two friendly matches before playing 3 regulated test matches.
In the regulated matches, the Indian side drew the first match (0-0) on day one, (3-1) the following day, and a (2-2) draw in the final match.
The Indian women’s hockey team Captain Rani Rampal took to twitter and said she believed it was a great learning curve for the entire team to play against the 2016 Olympic Champions Great Britain women’s hockey team ahead of the FIH Olympic Qualifiers.

To compete against a really good European opposition just prior to a tournament as important as the FIH Olympic Qualifier will go a long way in boosting their self-confidence.
Finishing their England tour with two draws and a loss, the India’s women now have just under a month left to ready themselves to face World Ranked 13th USA at the Olympic Qualifiers in Bhubaneswar, Odisha to seal a place at Tokyo 2020.
The Indian eves last played at the “Ready Steady Tokyo 2020” Olympic Test event in Tokyo and were unbeaten throughout the tournament.
