The Spanish Hockey Team will head into the 2018 Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup full of confidence and looking to out–perform all of their previous attempts.
Spain have been present at every edition of the World Cup, finishing second on two occasions – 1971 and 1994 – and third in 2006.
Spain brings in vast experienced players with 200-capped athletes such as goalkeeper Quico Cortes, Sergi Enrique, Miguel Delas and Pau Quemada.
Spain Head Coach Frederic Soyez stated that his team are capable of challenging for the medal positions and that it will be closely contested event.
“I think this will be a very closely contested event with more than six to seven teams on par with each other fighting for a medal.Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and India will be good contenders for Championship Title.” he said.
