It’s a huge tournament for Ireland as this is their first World Cup appearance since 2002. For this tournament, the squad has made all manner of sacrifices to be in the best shape they can be.

Who to watch

Katie Mullan, captaining the side, is adept at picking up the ball and bulldozing her way into dangerous areas and if penalty corners come then the Green Army are blessed with two talented drag flickers in the forms of Roisin Upton and Megan Frazer.
