The Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires launched a unique project named “L’italiano in campo” with the aim of bringing young people closer to the Italian language through sport.
With this activity the Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires wants to carry out their aim of spreading the Italian language through participatory and entertaining practices.
The goal is to make learning Italian easier and more stimulating through games and sports exercises, using the disciplines of field hockey and football to create informal lessons outside the classroom.
Approximately 100 boys and girls of four public primary schools of Buenos Aires, where Italian is already taught, by virtue of a specific agreement stipulated between the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and the Consulate, will try out tests and games that will stimulate their sporting and linguistic abilities.
The exercises will engage children in the linguistic learning of basic concepts such as colors, numbers and technical terms of sports.
The organising of the event was entrusted to the NGO La Victoria, which has been involved in sports and social projects for years.
