The Japan Men’s Hockey Team is all set to play six matches in Holland from 21st April – 26th April 2019, as a part of their preparations for the FIH Men’s Hockey Series Finals in India.

The “Japan’s Tour Of Holland” begins with the Japanese Team taking on the Dutch Club HGC on April 21st in Wassenaar.

The squad consist of 14 players who made their last appearance at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup last month in Ipoh, Malaysia.

With their vision set on this years FIH Hockey Series Finals, Japan will be in the hunt for the right mix of players who can bring desired results at the 2020 Olympic Games.

Ahead of their departure for the Holland Tour, the national squad was training in Japan, where they have been working on improving their counter control and defence apart from working on variations that can improve their goal scoring. The team also played a practice match against World No. 17 China.

Japan will first play against the Dutch Club HGC in Wassenar on April 21st. On 22nd, they will play against France in Breda and on the 23rd they will again play against France in Tilburg.

The team will then move to Kampong in Utrecht to face Ireland on April 25th.

They will play their fifth and sixth final match of the tour against Poland at AMHC in Amersfoort on April 25th and April 26th 2019.
