🏆 JWC 2021 : Argentina junior Men’s team kick start their 2021 Junior World Cup campaign with an impressive victory over Egypt

Argentina could not have had a better presentation at the Junior World Cup in Bhubaneswar. The final 14 to 0 exempts any comment. The individual and team superiority demonstrated against Egypt was tremendous.

Los Leoncitos overwhelmed and thus started their dream of giving national field hockey its second title in this type of tournaments after the one achieved in Rotterdam 2005.

Los Leoncitos were much more than their adversary from the beginning to the end. Both technically and tactically. Thus, by decantation, the goals were arriving: 3-0 finished the first quarter and 5-0 went to rest.

Already in the second half, with a winner who went from lowest to highest and who always imposed a lot of rhythm to his movements and who, in addition, physically overwhelmed the Egyptians, came nine more goals.

Goals from direct penalty corner, rebound and play and an innumerable amount of situations generated by the Argentine players made the presentation in group D very auspicious.

After 3 minutes, Facundo Zárate opened the account for short. And in that first quarter Francisco Ruiz increased at 10 and Lautaro Domene, also short, at 12. Then Bautista Capurro at 22 and Franco Agostini at 25 gave the Leoncitos that difference of five goals with which they left to rest.

In the second half, Lucas Rey’s team increased the figures through Ignacio Nardullo at 9, again Capurro at 14 (short), Lucio Méndez at 16, Joaquín Kruger (short) and Zárate (penalty) at 17, Bruno Stellato at 18 (short), Joaquín Toscani at 21 -partial from 6-0 in just seven minutes-, and Domene (short) and Zárate (penalty) at 28.

Argentina will appear again at the Kalinga stadium this Friday at 8.30 am against Germany in a bar that will surely be much higher. The game can be seen on Star +.
