It was heartbreak for Canada men in hockey as they lost the finals to Argentina at the Pan American Games 2019 in Lima, Peru.
The loss will hurt the Canadians badly as a gold here would have guaranteed a direct qualification in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Canada had dominated the group stage by winning all their matches. They had a record tally of 33 goals. But in the final match, they faltered.
This was Canada’s third consecutive defeat to Argentina at the Pan American Games, having also lost to them in 2011 and 2015.
For Canadian hockey, there was more disappointment after the fancied women’s team failed to beat Argentina in the finals yesterday.
Sadly, it was not meant to be and Canada both, the men and women teams will return home with a silver medal.
