Authorities, athletes, Army personnel and volunteers checked this morning the accessibility and operation of the seven towers that are part of the Pan American Village that will host the participants of the Pan American and Parapan Am Games Lima 2019.
The executive director of Lima 2019, Carlos Neuhaus , recalled that the habilitation of the land located in Villa El Salvador (VES) was in the hands of the Army, an institution that had to make a stop in its work to attend to the Peruvians affected by the Phenomenon of the Child in the north of the country.
Hockey athletes, tae kwondo, power liftin and paradeportistas swimming, athletics, bocce, among others, verified if the facilities of water, sewage, light, gas and elevators worked properly.
The village has 1,096 apartments distributed in seven towers, four of which have 20 floors, and three 19.
It is estimated that during the Pan Am and Parapan Am games will accommodate about 10,000 people from July 26, opening date of this competition, Neuhaus said.
