Senior Bibi Donraadt of the seventh-ranked Maryland field hockey squad (2-1) was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday for her third career weekly honor.
Donraadt, a 2020 All-Big Ten Second Team honoree, is off to an incredible first two weeks of the season. She is leading the Terrapins in scoring with three goals and with three assists.
She scored two of her goals in Sunday’s dominant 4-0 win at No. 12 Duke, both in the first quarter. Just under 4:00 in, she buried a pass from Riley Donnelly from the far post to open the scoring. Four minutes later, she deflected in a shot by Kyler Greenwalt for the Terps second score of the day.
In Friday’s match with No.7 Boston College, Donraadt assisted on the Terps’ first goal, which tied the match at 1-1.
Donraadt was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice in 2018.
