From November 24 to December 5, the World Youth Field Hockey Championships – FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 will take place. The Polish national team will take part in the tournament.
16 teams will play in the World Cup , divided into four groups . Poland went to the “B” group, where it will face Canada, France and the hosts – India. The top two teams will advance to the quarter-finals. In turn, the two weakest teams will play for places 9-16.
“We would like to qualify for the top eight and that would be a great result. We have Canadian and French national teams in the group, which are at a similar level in terms of sports to our team. The hosts defend the title and this is the main favorite to win. The fight for the second place should be decided between the other three” – says the selector of the Polish national team Jacek Adrian.
The Poles will start the tournament with a match with Canada – on Wednesday (November 24) at 10:00 a.m., a day later they will play against France at 12:30 p.m. and the last game will be played on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
All games of this tournament will be held in Bhubaneswar. This city has a modern hockey facility that can accommodate 15,000 spectators.
Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus epidemic around the world, all meetings will be held without the participation of the public.
