Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of field hockey, coaches technique and strategy. Assists in selection of team members and national and international recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations.
Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment.
Acts as mentor for student athletes and advises on personal/mental well-being matters and partners student athlete with appropriate resources as needed. Ensures international student athletes become acclimated to the team and environment by serving as point of contact, mentor, and ambassador to Ohio State.
Responsible for reporting on assimilation of each student athlete to the team and identifying any areas of concern. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.

Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required: Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of field hockey at the intercollegiate level. Position requires extensive travel during recruiting process.
Desired: Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations; experience working with a diverse population desired.
