Another Pakistan hockey Olympian has left the world, Olympian Jahangir Butt passed away last night. President Pakistan Hockey Federation Brigadier Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and Secretary General Asif Bajwa expressed their condolences.

According to the details, former Pakistan hockey player Olympian Jahangir Butt died last night. Olympian Jahangir Butt, 78, hoisted the Pakistani flag at the 1968 Mexico Olympics and won a gold medal.

Olympian Jahangir Butt represented Pakistan in 2 Olympics. He won a gold medal at the 1968 Mexico Olympics and a silver medal at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Former Olympian Jahangir Butt won a silver medal for Pakistan at the 1966 Asian Games in Bangkok and a gold medal for Pakistan at the 1970 Asian Games in Bangkok.

late Olympian Jahangir Butt remained associated with the Pakistan Customs Department in his professional life and retired as Superintendent of Customs.

AHF Chief Executive & Secretary General Dato Tayyab Ikram extended his condolences to Jahangir Butt’s family and Pakistan Hockey Federation. He said,

“Hearing of his demise is a sad news. I pray that the departed soul finds peace and that his family and friends can find the courage to cope with this immense loss. Pakistan lost a star, and this is a great loss to the Asian hockey family as well. We all are grieved to hear of this.”
