Shahbaz Ahmad – Secretary General of the Pakistan Hockey Federation on Saturday resigned from his post and his resignation was accepted by the President PHF – Brig retd Khalid Sajjad Khokhar.
”Shahbaz was not able to give time to the job due to his PIA duties and that is why he tendered his resignation as PHF Secretary,” said the President.
To fill his shoes, Former player & Olympian Asif Bajwa who also served as the Secretary of the PHF has been appointed as the new Secretary.
“He (Asif) will be taking on his new responsibility from May 6 (Monday),” the president said.
Brig Khokhar acknowledged the services rendered by the outgoing secretary for the cause of hockey and said during the past three and a half year he did his job with great devotion.
