Dariusz Rachwalski has been appointed as the interim coach of the Polish National Mens Hockey Team.
This development came into being ever since Coach Karol Sniezek submitted his resignation.
Rachwalski will lead the team at the European Championships (Group B), which will take place in July and August in France.
“Recently, the PZHT Management Board conducted several conversations with potential trainers. Finally, we decided that it was Dariusz Rachwalski who would lead our team at the European Championships in France,” said PZHT President Jacek Sobolewski.
Dariusz Rachwalski is an outstanding representative of Poland.
As a player, he has been a part of the Pocztowiec Poznań, AZS Politechnika Poznańska, GTHGC Hamburg and SV Arminen Vienna.
In 2011, he won the silver medal for Poland at the Indoor World Championships in Poznan, where he was also elected the best player in the same tournament.
After retiring as a player, he became a coach for the AZS Politechnika Poznańska and SV Arminen Vienna.
In Austria – as a coach and player – he has won the national championship many times in indoor and outdoor field competitions.
