The Russian Hockey Federation has announced the Russian side that will take part in the the much-awaited FIH Men’s Series Finals Bhubaneswar Odisha 2019 scheduled to begin on 6 June 2019 at the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium.
Russia who are world ranked 23, have qualified for the FIH Hockey Series Finals after claiming title victory at the Hockey Series Open – Lousada in 2018.
28 year old, Denis Shchipachev will captain for the team. Denis debuted in 2013. His latest assignment was the Euro Hockey League where he represented HC Dinamo Kazan.
Denis Starienko and Sergey Lepeshkin will make their debut appearance in this tournament.
The event will see Russia grouped in Pool A alongside, host India, Poland and Uzbekistan while Japan, Mexico, USA and South Africa are grouped in Pool B.
Russia will begin their campaign on 6 June 2019 against host India.
