Assessing his players performance against Japan, Coach Roelant Oltmans stated that he was happy with his players performance.
“It was a fantastic start for Malaysia, with Faizal opening the score board. The last quarter, Japan were on the prowl and we almost went down, but the good thing is that the team did not get nervous and continued their power play.” he said.

Malaysia will next take on Canada on 26th March 2019, at 8.35 PM (MST) at the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh.
