USA Field Hockey is pleased to welcome Dr. Jamie Robbins, Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and Youth Development Consultant for USA Field Hockey, and Associate Professor at Methodist University, Fayetteville, N.C., back to the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, where she will be leading two topics in her second appearance at the 2019 USA Field Hockey Summit, presented by AstroTurf.
Dr. Robbins will be leading the topics of “Relax and Focus! Great Idea, but HOW?” and “Coach Needs, Athlete Needs and Mental Toughness.”
Summit will be held March 15-17 and will welcome administrators, coaches, umpires and sponsors for a weekend of education, networking, collaboration and fun.
Dr. Robbins completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Michigan, and master’s and Ph.D. in sport psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and Michigan State respectively.
Her life as an athlete led to her educational focus on sport psychology.
She is privileged now to disseminate what she knows and continues her journey to learn more as an associate professor at Methodist University, a researcher, a CMPC for individual athletes, teams and coaches, and a youth development consultant for USA field hockey.
In all of these roles, her goals are simple: to teach individuals how to use their mind to help rather than hurt their performance, and to keep learning and growing each day so she has more to offer others.
