U.S. Women’s National Team Strength and Conditioning Coach Nick Shedd is pleased to be leading the “Physical Preparation: Plan for the Upcoming Field Hockey Season” and “Plyometric Progression to Improve Performance and Reduce Injury” sessions at the 2019 USA Field Hockey Summit, presented by AstroTurf.
Summit will be held March 15-17 at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore and will welcome administrators, coaches, umpires and sponsors for a weekend of education, networking, collaboration and fun.
Shedd was named the U.S. Women’s National Team Strength and Conditioning Coach in December 2016. He earned a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine/wellness from Averett University in Danville, Va., where he also played football.
Shedd furthered his education by attending Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where he received a Master of Science Degree with a specialty in Strength and Conditioning.
He manages the physical performance data collection as well as the strength, speed, and conditioning development of the U.S. Women’s National Team.
