Hockey Wales first launched the 4689 programme in 2012. Since then, many young leaders, parents, teachers, students and a vast array of club members have attended a course and delivered the 4689 experience.
Due to advances in coaching, leadership, and the game of hockey itself, Hockey Wales have refreshed the course content to deliver an improved experience for hockey leaders and hockey participants of the future.
The Leadership Award in Hockey Coaching is perfect for anyone looking to take their first step on the coaching ladder or for those looking to build their leadership skills in a hockey setting.
Elliot Pottinger, National Lead for the Leadership Award said:
“The newly refreshed courses are an excellent learning opportunity equipping leaders to provide a great hockey playing experience to new and existing players. Awards offer those new to the game the chance to learn more about delivering hockey and gives existing leaders an update on game developments allowing them to create an environment where players can thrive. I urge everyone interested to look at the courses on offer to get your season off to a great start.”
